hot stuff - let's fry an egg on the ground
I�ve become a once a week writer. Either I�ve been too busy or I just have nothing exciting to write about.
Jim and I went out to dinner with my parents last night. We had a good time. I found out that my Dad hitchhiked across the country when he was 17 years old. That was pretty shocking. He said that he woke up one morning and just packed a bag and left. He had less than $20 with him and he made it all the way to some little town outside of San Diego in just under 3 days. I asked him where he slept and what not, and he said wherever he could find a place. Whether it was on the side of the road, in a forest preserve, etc etc. I was floored. When he got to California, he met some Hell�s Angel guy and got a job at Sears. He said that they used to sit in the back on the warehouse and make all the other guys do all the work. He stayed there for about a month and then hitchhiked back home. He had made it all the way to just outside of Joliet, Illinois and ended up calling his brother to come and pick him up.
Hearing his story, I began to wonder about my brother who committed suicide. My dad thought about killing himself when he came home from VietNam (I discovered this a couple of months after my brother died). Did by dad and brother feel the same about things? My brother was 25 when he died and my dad was about 23 when he came home from VietNam�it�s weird. My dad was able to combat his depression and come out of it and my brother had just gone deeper and deeper into it. Fucking life I swear.
I can�t stand Shakira.
Anyway. On Thursday, I let Jim use my car because he had to take his car in for something. He calls me in the afternoon and says, �What is Jen�s super mix�? I had no clue what he was talking about. He proceeded to tell me about a cd that he found and he put it in to see what was on it. After he explained what was on it, I remembered it. Well �Jen�s Super Mix� is a cd of porno video like music that Justin made as a joke for me. He gave it to me one day and I listened to it while driving home from his place. I just took it out and threw it in my cd holder. And now James has found it. He wasn�t laughing at first when he called, but he said, �You�re a freak, what the heck are you listening to this for?!� I told him it wasn�t mine and that Justin had made it as a joke for me. He then called him a �fucking freak�. Why would a guy give you a cd with stuff like that on there. He laughed at the whole thing later, but still thought it was weird (I think it�s hilarious).
I�m leaving in a little while to go to the Sox/Cubs game. Go Sox � 12 to 2 yesterday. I�ll probably fry today. We are going to some fest then later tonight and then tomorrow I am going to sox game again. It�ll be a busy weekend.
